Prof. Dr. Stefan Gress is a recognized specialist in the field of plastic surgery, focusing particularly on aesthetic surgery of the face, breasts, and women’s intimate areas.
Professor Dr. Stefan Gress is one of the most respected and experienced plastic surgeons in Germany, combining years of clinical practice with extensive research and teaching achievements. His comprehensive medical training began at Ludwig Maximilian University and the Technical University of Munich, where he acquired a solid foundation in medical knowledge. He also completed studies at the Universidade Federal da Bahia in Brazil and completed an internship at the renowned New York University, which, early in his career, provided him with an international perspective on advanced surgical treatment methods.
After completing his studies, he chose a path of intensive specialization in plastic and reconstructive surgery. He worked at the University Hospital Rechts der Isar in Munich under the supervision of Professor Dr. Biemer, where he gained experience in modern surgical techniques. A key stage in his professional development was months of training abroad, during which he had the opportunity to collaborate with legends of global plastic surgery. In New York, under the supervision of Professor John McCarthy, he perfected his microsurgical and reconstructive techniques, while in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, he trained with Professor Ivo Pitanguy, one of the most outstanding plastic surgeons of the 20th century.
Thanks to these experiences, Professor Gress not only mastered cutting-edge surgical techniques in facial, breast, and intimate surgery but also developed his own proprietary surgical methods. He also trained at renowned centers in the United States, collaborating with specialists such as Professors Sherryl Aston, Glenn Jelks, Sam Hamra, and John Tebbetts, which allowed him to broaden his horizons in the field of aesthetic and reconstructive surgery.
Since 2001, Professor Gress has been running his own practice, gaining recognition both among patients and in international medical circles. He is the author of numerous scientific publications and an active participant in international conferences, where he regularly lectures and coaches young surgeons. He also shares his experience as an associate professor at the University of Sibiu in Romania, committed to educating future physicians and developing new treatment standards.
Professor Gress emphasizes that medical knowledge is not enough in the work of a plastic surgeon – artistic ability and an aesthetic sense are equally important, enabling the achievement of natural and harmonious treatment results. His approach to each patient is characterized by individualism, precision, and respect for the body’s natural proportions.
He is a member of leading international and German scientific societies, such as the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the German Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (DGPRÄC), the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), and the International Confederation for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (IPRAS). This allows him to constantly monitor global trends, raising the standards of treatment in his daily practice.
