Summary of the First International Congress of the Polish Society of Plastic Gynecology
On September 13–14, 2024, at the Airport Okęcie Hotel in Warsaw, the First International Congress of the Polish Society of Plastic Gynecology was held. The event brought together 165 participants, 90 of whom took part in the pre-congress workshops held on September 13. During the Congress itself, 23 speakers delivered lectures and presentations, including renowned specialists from Poland and abroad, among them from the USA, Uruguay, the UAE, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Romania.
The Congress was preceded by a report by Marek Nowicki on TVN’s “Fakty” program, aired on September 11, 2024, in which Dr. Rafał Kużalik and Dr. Piotr Kolczewski presented the development of plastic gynecology, and patients shared their experiences after procedures. The report served as an introduction to the congress proceedings, sparking interest in this new area of medicine.
The event was accompanied by extensive media promotion. The congress was held under the patronage of: the media group “Estetyka i Chirurgia – Medyczna TV”, the magazines “Nowy Gabinet Ginekologiczny” and “Estetyczny Magazyn”, and the portals e-ginekologia.pl, Rynek Estetyczny, zatrzymajmlodosc.pl, and uroda i medycyna.
During the congress, participants also had the opportunity to visit an exhibition of companies related to the plastic gynecology industry, in which 18 companies took part.
This congress served as an important forum for the exchange of knowledge, experience, and best practices in plastic gynecology. It covered both innovative treatment methods and a holistic approach to women’s health and sexuality. As summarized by Dr. Piotr Kolczewski, the event aimed to inspire and promote a comprehensive approach to women’s health that combines medical and aesthetic aspects.
The interest shown by both participants and the media indicates that plastic gynecology is becoming an increasingly important discipline. Innovative treatment methods and the exchange of experience among specialists at such events foster the further development of this field.
The 2nd International Congress of the Polish Society of Plastic Gynecology will take place in a year, in mid-September.
