
Dr. Yuliya Maksimova, MD, PhD, is a Russian gynecologist, surgeon, urogynecologist, and oncogynecologist, recognized as one of the leading experts in the field of reconstructive and plastic pelvic floor surgery as well as aesthetic gynecology. She is the founder and director of the Center for Aesthetic and Reconstructive Gynecology at the European Medical Center (EMC) in Moscow, and the founder and CEO of GynAestetica Clinic in Budapest, Hungary.
She graduated from the Ivanovo State Medical Academy (1998) and holds a PhD (Candidate of Medical Sciences) degree, awarded for her dissertation on the clinical presentation and diagnosis of the most aggressive and disseminated forms of genital endometriosis. She has completed numerous international fellowships, including at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Caen (France), the IRCAD robotic surgery institute in Strasbourg (France), the clinics of Dr. Miklos and Dr. Moore (Atlanta, USA, and Dubai, UAE), the Medical Laser Unit in Madrid (Spain), the Genital Aesthetic Clinic in Istanbul (Turkey), the Medical University of Warsaw, and the AlmaLasers Clinic in Israel.
She is a pioneer in the application of advanced surgical techniques in gynecology. She specializes in organ‑preserving surgeries using laparoscopic, robotic, vaginal, and combined approaches, including the treatment of large uterine fibroids and extensive infiltrative endometriosis. She is an expert in the surgical treatment of female urinary incontinence, pediatric surgery, robot‑assisted gynecological procedures, and obstetric pelvic floor assessment and rehabilitation. She holds certifications in obstetrics and gynecology, urology, oncology, and healthcare management.
She is the author of over 150 scientific publications, chapters in monographs, and clinical textbooks. She serves as the first President of the International Society for Aesthetic and Sexual Surgery (ISAGSS). She is a member of numerous prestigious organizations, including the International Association of Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cells (IASRM), the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL), the European Endometriosis League (EEL), and the World Association of Aesthetic Medicine and Plastic Surgery (WAMPS).
As an international trainer and lecturer, she conducts courses and workshops on new technologies in pelvic floor surgery and aesthetic gynecology. She is the founder and leader of Gynaestetica, a company that organizes training programs and workshops for physicians from around the world.
